24 hours to deploy the MYLE suite at two COVID-19 assessment centres: MEDFAR’s team is up to the challenge

May 11, 2020

Faced with the significant efforts of the healthcare players in Quebec to fight against COVID-19, MEDFAR Clinical Solutions is committed to contribute in its own way by offering unlimited and free usage of its electronic medical record MYLE and telehealth solution, MYLE Telemed, to all Designated Assessment Centres (DACs).

On March 27th, the CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest was the first healthcare institution to benefit from this initiative for the two first DACs located on its territory. In these circumstances, MEDFAR remotely deployed its MYLE ecosystem in less than 24 hours. The whole deployment, including the training and support of the users, was done remotely by MEDFAR’s deployment experts. The joint efforts of MEDFAR and the CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest ensured that the professionals working in the DAC could work securely without handling physical files. The implementation process also included training and support for all users to ensure their access to a range of technological solutions adapted to the challenges arising from the current pandemic.

As part of MEDFAR commitment, professionals working in DACs also have free access to MYLE Electronic Medical Record (EMR), MYLE Web-Fax for the electronic transmission of documents between institutions and MYLE Patient Portal that allows a fast and secure communication of investigative results to patients remotely. In the coming days, an advanced telehealth feature called MYLE Telemed will also be added to this initiative to facilitate remote interactions with patients.

Given the effective collaboration between the CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest and MEDFAR for the deployment of the two first DACs, a third site began operations on April 6th and is also powered by MYLE.

Henceforth, MEDFAR Clinical Solutions offers unlimited and free usage of its electronic medical record MYLE to designated assessment centres (DACs) in order to support the fight against COVID-19 in Quebec.

MEDFAR is proud to use its know-how in the fight against COVID-19. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who contributed in any way to the set-up of these DACs in such a short timeframe. Furthermore, thank you to all healthcare staff members for your continued efforts and determination in the collective battle against the pandemic!
